Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona International Speedway is giving race fans the chance to get up-close and personal with seven-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson as he starts his 19th and final full-time NASCAR season with the 62nd annual Daytona 500 in February. A two-day ticket package is being made available according to DIS spokesperson Andrew Booth. He says the package includes a reserved ticket to the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on February 15 and a reserved ticket to the Daytona 500 the next day, February 16.
Booth said the up-close and personal part of the package is a question-and-answer session with Johnson prior to the beginning of the Daytona 500 in a Midway suite. And that's not all: this two-day package also includes UNOH Fanzone/Pre-Race Access prior to the NASCAR Racing Experience 300 and a $20 concession voucher for use on February 15.
Johnson has 83 career NASCAR Cup Series wins, all in the No. 48 Chevrolet, which ties him for sixth on the all-time wins list with NASCAR Hall of Famer Cale Yarborough. His two DAYTONA 500 victories came in 2006 and 2013.
The two-day package is available for $248 per person. A one-day Daytona 500-only package is available for $148.
