Bunnell, FL - A Flagler County jury came back with a quick verdict for Joseph Bova II and it wasn't the verdict he was looking for.
Bova was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Zuheili Roman Rosado in February 2013. She was the single mother of six children.
Bova testified last week and asked the jury to consider finding him not guilty by reason of insanity. He told them that voices in his head told him that Rosado was "evil" and could kill people with her eyes.
The jury deliberated for 39 minutes before returning a guilty verdict.
Circuit Judge Terrence Perkins presided over the case and sentenced Bova to life in a state prison facility.
