Daytona Beach, FL - The Leadership Daytona Alumni Council has announced that the 3rd 'Elevate Daytona Beach' event will be held in July.

The event will take place on July 20, at the News-Journal Center, 221 N. Beach Street, Daytona Beach. Doors will open for happy hour and networking at 5 PM with 5-minute Elevate talks beginning at 6:30 PM.

"This event is an exciting and entertaining platform to introduce he community to passionate storytellers and innovative ideas," said Elevate co-creator Steve Mach.

Organizers are holding auditions throughout the month of May and are seeking speakers that have a unique story, an innovative way to solve a problem or an interesting view on a hidden bit of culture.

"People often ask why I chose to reside and start a business in Daytona Beach. After meeting the amazing people who share their 5-minute Elevate messages, and enjoying the intriguing conversations that followed, I realized I live in the city I always wanted," said inaugural event attendee Dr. Delicia Haynes, First Family Health Center.

Cost is $15 for general admission and $10 for students.

Criteria for interested speakers, audition information and event tickets are available here or contact event organizers Shawn Abbatessa at s.abbatessa@arcvolusia.org or Steve Mach at Steve.Mach@halifax.org.
