Port Orange, FL - Police in Port Orange arrested a man on Friday morning who just finished a 9 year prison sentence and booked him with various narcotic charges after finding nearly 150 grams of pills, cocaine, and marijuana along with firearms and $7,768 in cash in his apartment.
After nearly a month of surveillance and other investigative measures, the Port Orange Police Department obtained a search warrant for 32-year-old Michael Conage Jr.'s apartment. It was around 5:45 AM on Friday, September 16th, when detectives and an Emergency Response Team entered the Groves Apartments at 3780 Clyde Morris Blvd. After searching the apartment, detectives found 146.4 grams of prescription pills, crack cocaine, cannabis, and guns. Everything was seized along with $7,768 cash found with the narcotics. Conage was arrested and is facing various charges including:
