Off-Beach Parking Is Back!

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Volusia County owned off-beach parking lots are 100 percent open, beginning today. (May 16). The announcement came after Governor Ron DeSantis announced that all Florida counties are now Full Phase 1 yesterday (May 15) afternoon.

Parking capacity at off-beach parking lots could be limited so that social distancing conditions can be maintained.

County officials reiterate that social distancing guidelines must be followed so things on the beach remain the same. Beach parking is allowed at the designated spots marked by posts that are 25 feet apart.

Only one vehicle is allowed at each post. If you violate that rule, you  could receive a ticket or see your vehicle towed at your own expense. Driving is restricted outside of the parking zones. The social  distancing guidelines, which are up to six people in a group with at least ten feet of distance between groups, are being enforced.

At this time, there are 14 beach vehicle access ramps open. From north to south they are:

Granada Boulevard
Cardinal Drive
Williams Avenue
Seabreeze Boulevard
Silver Beach Avenue
Florida Shores Boulevard
Van Avenue
El Portal Street
Dunlawton Boulevard
Beach Street
Beachway Avenue
Crawford Road
Flagler Avenue
3rd Avenue

The ramp at Williams Avenue in Daytona Beach, just south of Bellair Plaza is open for ADA access only. Your vehicle must have a handicapped tag or placard to use the Williams Avenue ramp.
