Ormond Beach Man Dies In Shed Fire

Ormond Beach, FL - A 50-year-old man living in a shed at a home located at 136 Seville Street in Ormond Beach is dead after the shed caught fire early this morning (February 21).

The Volusia Sheriff's Office reports that firefighters from Volusia County, Ormond Beach, and Holly Hill responded to the fire around 7:15 a.m. The victim was pulled from the doorway of the shed by a witness. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire is under investigation by both the county and state fire marshal's offices. There are no initial indications of suspicious circumstances and an official determination is pending.

The victim's name is not being released yet as his next of kin have not been contacted.
