DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - 34-year-old Charles Ivy Jr. was indicted for first degree murder in the killing of a woman and her infant son last month, according to police on Tuesday. In all, he was charged with two counts each of first degree murder and attempted first degree murder, plus one count of felony arson of a dwelling.

According to prosecutors, Ivy stabbed 30-year-old Den'jah Moore to death over 100 times, before leaving her body to burn in an apartment with her three children. The infant was said to have also suffered stab wounds. A 5-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl were pulled from the flames and saved, while the 10-month-old boy succumbed to his wounds.

Ivy was charged in the murders of the two victims, while his attempted murder charges were for the two children who escaped with their lives. He was arrested in the hours following the grisly killings late last month, and has been held ever since at the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond.
