Palm Coast Gun Dealer Gets 3 Years In Federal Prison

Palm Coast, FL - A local gun dealer gets sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to possession and transfer of machine guns.

US District Judge Paul G. Byron delivered the fate of 45-year-old Robert Miguel Castillo after he pleaded guilty to the illegal possession and transfer of Glock auto switches, a firearm accessory designed to convert a Glock handgun from semi-automatic to automatic fire.

Judge Byron sentenced Castillo to three years and four months in federal prison.

According to court documents, Castillo sold a total of 10 Glock auto switches to a co-conspirator, Chad Howard Talbot, who would then resell the switches to a convicted felon.

Talbot has also pleaded guilty in this case, his sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 14th.
