Person Shot In New Smyrna Beach, In Critical Condition

New Smyrna Beach, FL - Police in New Smyrna Beach are investigating after someone was shot off of Greenlawn Street Monday night (April 26).

Not many details have been provided by the New Smyrna Beach Police Department (NSBPD). Officers say the victim, who was only identified as an adult black male, was shot just after 9:00 p.m. on Monday. They were airlifted to Halifax Health Medical Center where they remain in critical condition.

This is now the third shooting-related incident to be investigated by law enforcement in Volusia County this past week. At the moment, the Volusia Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of a 27-year-old male in Spring Hill, and another shooting death where a man was found dead from a gunshot wound in Deltona.
