New Smyrna Beach, FL - News Daytona Beach is investigating a large law enforcement presence at New Smyrna Beach High School.
Lieutenant Christopher Kirk with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department says that they received a vague and unsubstantiated tip through the FortifyFL app and there is no information regarding a specific threat, nor is there a specific suspect.
One parent spoke with News Daytona Beach and said they have been in contact with their child who said classes are resuming as planned.
