New Smyrna Beach, FL - A city's neighbor to the north helps catch an armed robbery suspect.
New Smyrna Beach police say they were dispatched to a Circle K convenience store early this morning (April 5th) with reports of an armed robbery.
The victim said that the suspect, later identified as 36-year-old Paul Rucker, said that he had a gun and if he got what he wanted he wouldn't hurt the victim.
Rucker left the scene in a black vehicle with beer and cigars he took from the store and traveled north on North Dixie Freeway.
Later on, Port Orange police located the vehicle and put Rucker into custody.
Rucker was charged with fleeing, armed robbery and driving with a revoked license. He's currently being held at Volusia County Jail on $10,000 bond.
