New Smyrna Beach, FL - An alternatives public meeting is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon to discuss the I-95 at Pioneer Trail Interchange Project Development and Environmental Study with limits from Williamson Boulevard to Turnbull Bay Road in Volusia County.
FDOT spokesperson Jessica Ottaviano said the purpose of the study is to develop and evaluate options for a proposed interchange at I-95 and Pioneer Trail. The goal is to relieve traffic congestion at the two interchanges already in place at S.R. 44 and at Dunlawton Ave. The project is also aimed at supporting economic development associated with existing and approved future developments.
During the meeting, Ottaviano said that attendees can watch a video presentation running on a continuous loop, review the information from the PDE study and discuss the design alternatives with FDOT staff and study representatives.
The informal meeting happens on Tuesday, April 30 and runs from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the Brannon Center in New Smyrna Beach.
