Registration For Volusia County School's Driver Education To Start Soon

Posted

Volusia County, FL - Registration for Volusia County School's 2017 Summer Driver Education is beginning soon.

Students interested in this .5-credit elective course must register at their home high school beginning on Thursday, May 11. No fee is required and registration forms and course brochures are available at each school's guidance office.

Availability is first-come, first serve, and if classes fill up, students will be put on a waiting list. All driver's education courses are funded through the Dori Slosberg Driver Education Trust Fund, not with district funds.

Along with the half-credit, students will receive a waiver for the road test so when they go to get their driver's license, they will not have to do the test on-site.

Classes begin on Wednesday, July 5 and end on Wednesday, July 19th from 8 AM to 3 PM. There is no class on Fridays except for Friday, July 7th. Students should bring lunch, sunscreen, water, and closed-toe shoes every day. A tentative list of classes will be held at:
