Sheriff's Office & Humane Society Team Up For Food Drive & Pet Adoption Event

Palm Coast, FL -  The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the Flagler Humane Society to make sure a few furry friends get a home for the holidays.

According to FCSO, deputies caught the Grinch trying to steal Christmas.  As punishment, the Grinch will have to serve community service by "posing with for pictures with members of the community." To help him complete his community service, the FCSO K-9 unit will be in attendance with McGruff the Crime Dog.

And next Tuesday (December 10th), residents can also help out the Grinch and FCSO at the Flagler Humane Society by donating pet food or supplies.

“Everyone is invited to come out to the Flagler Humane Society and help support the shelter for the holidays,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Bring some dog or cat food or some cleaning supplies as a donation. In return, take a photo with the Grinch and McGruff. If you still need the perfect Christmas gift, take advantage of the free adoptions taking place during the event and come home for the holidays with a fur-ever friend.”

The Flagler Humane Society will waive all adoption fees for the event. Bring a donation and receive a free photo with the Grinch. The event runs between 4-6 p.m. on December 10th only.
