Still Time To Get A Mail-in Ballot For The Primary

Posted

DeLand, FL - Florida's primary election is just three weeks away but there's still time to get a mail-in ballot. Lisa Lewis, Volusia County Elections Supervisor says you can request the ballot online or you can call the office. "Vote in the comfort of your own home. It's a safe way to vote, safe for your health, and a secure vote. Call 386-736-5930. The last day to request for the primary election is August 8." You can also request your ballot for the general election at the same time.

If you'd rather vote at a polling place, be aware that some polling places have been combined or moved entirely. Lewis says if your polling place has changed, you'll be notified with a new voters registration card with the polling place address on it. You can find the list of new polling places alongside the places they've replaced by clicking here.

Lewis says early voting begins August 8 and runs through August 15 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day at six locations. "Ormond Beach Library, City Island Library in Daytona, Port Orange Library, New Smyrna Beach Library, Deltona City Commission Chambers and, of course, our office in DeLand."
