Posted

DELTONA, Fla. - A third individual has been arrested in a child sex abuse investigation that dates back to February of this year. 33-year-old Maria Cribb was arrested and charged with one count of capital sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12 years old.

The initial details of the investigation were announced back in February, when 30-year-olds Steven Cribb and Laura Dietz were arrested and charged in Deltona. The pair, whose residence was located at Mentmore Circle, were accused of severely sexually abusing two girls under the age of 12.

This newest case update implies a third victim related to the initial two girls allegedly victimized by Cribb and Dietz. Like the first Steven Cribb and Laura Dietz, Maria Cribb has been held at the Volusia County Branch Jail since her arrest on no bond. None of the three have any prior booking in Volusia County prior to this investigation.

A statement released by the Volusia Sheriff's Office in February indicated there were not believed to be any additional victims, meaning significant discoveries were likely made by detectives leading to the third arrest. It was also clarified on Friday that Maria Cribb is Steven Cribb's sister.
