St. Augustine, FL - The trial for a Deltona man accused of killing his wife and her two children back in October of 2013 began Monday, and jury selection is underway. Luis Toledo is accused of the triple murder of the children and his wife, Yessenia Suarez, and Toledo could face the death penalty if convicted. The trial is being held in St. Augustine due to the high amount of publicity the case has received, although there were some jury candidates who said they had heard of the case. A judge told jury candidates that they would be questioned on their opinions of the death penalty and law enforcement officers. Jury selection in the trial could last several days, and the trial itself could last a month. For more on this story, go to WFTV Channel 9. Copyright Southern Stone Communications 2017.
