Two People Shot Separately in Daytona Beach Monday

Police Say No Connection

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Two individuals were shot and wounded in Daytona Beach on Monday, according to a release from the Daytona Beach Police Department. Not much is known about either shooting, but police are currently saying there is no relation between the two.

The first shooting occurred just after noon, police say, at the 200 block of College Park Drive. Police arrived at the scene to investigate, but the victim had already taken themselves to nearby Halifax Health Medical Center, where they began receiving treatment. They were listed as being in stable condition.

The second shooting occurred at around 2:00 pm, this time at the 500 block of George Street. No information has been released about the circumstances of this shooting as of now, but police say this victim was also taken to Halifax Health Medical Center. They're said to be in stable, but critical condition.
