DELTONA, Fla. - Two alleged drug dealers were arrested in Deltona Thursday as a result of a lengthy undercover operation, according to a new release from the Volusia Sheriff's Office. 53 year-old Michael Espejo and 57 year-old Luis Collazo are accused of selling heroin and fentanyl from a residence in Deltona.

The undercover operation spanned three months leading up to Thursday's arrest, involving the Volusia Sheriff's Office, Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team (DNET), and federal agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Representatives from each of the three agencies worked to conduct controlled purchases brokered by Espejo and carried out by Collazo at 725 Hartley Ave. 64 grams of highly dangerous fentanyl were acquired through these sales and via seizure.

A search warrant was served on Thursday by DNET, DEA, and the VSO's West Volusia Narcotics Task Force. Law enforcement seized 8.9 grams of fentanyl, 15 grams of cocaine, 9 grams of Alprazolan, a handful of THC gummies, and $1,250 in cash.

Both the perpetrators are charged with three counts each of fentanyl trafficking, with Espejo receiving an additional three charges of sale and delivery of heroin/fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a park. Espejo's bond is set at $850,000, while Collaso's is $700,000.
