In anticipation of Bike Week 2025, Votran is adjusting several of its routes over a ten-day span. The changes take effect Friday, February 28th and will remain in effect through Sunday, March 9th. County personnel are warning of potential delays, interruptions to service, and unanticipated detours depending on the evolving nature of the traffic associated with Bike Week.
More information on Votran operations over the course of the week, including real-time bus tracking and service updates, are available at Votran.org or via the myStop app. The changes being made to the routes are as follows, according to an announcement from the Volusia County government.
Route 1
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on Palmetto Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, and left on A1A to resume regular routing. They will not enter the Beachside Intermodal Transit Facility (ITF) and will remain on A1A.
- Inbound: Buses will use the International Speedway Bridge to Palmetto Avenue.
Route 8
- Buses will remain on Halifax Avenue and will not serve the Beachside ITF in either direction.
Route 11A/B
- Outbound (11A/B): Buses will turn left on Palmetto Avenue, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on U.S. 1, right on Fairview Avenue, and left on Beach Street.
- Outbound (11A): From International Speedway Boulevard, buses will turn right on Williamson Boulevard to resume regular routing. The route will not serve Thames Road, Fentress Boulevard, or the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market. Passengers traveling west of Williamson Boulevard should use Route 60.
- Inbound (11A/B): From Beach Street, buses will turn right on Fairview Avenue, left on U.S. 1, and left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard before returning to the Transfer Plaza.
Route 17A/B
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on Palmetto Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, and right on A1A.
- Inbound: From A1A, buses will turn left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Palmetto Avenue, and return to the Transfer Plaza.
DeLand-Area Detours (Saturday, March 1)
Due to the DeLand Bike Rally, Route 34 will follow a modified route all day Saturday, March 1.
- Northbound: From the DeLand ITF, buses will turn left on Alabama Avenue, right on Voorhis Avenue, left on Amelia Avenue, left on Plymouth Avenue, and right on Woodland Boulevard to resume regular routing.
- Southbound: From Woodland Boulevard, buses will turn left on Plymouth Avenue, right on Amelia Avenue, right on Howry Avenue, and left on Woodland Boulevard to resume regular routing.
- Buses will not serve Rich Avenue during this time.
Night Service (Monday – Saturday) and Daytime Service (Sunday)
Night and Sunday service will begin and end at the Transfer Plaza. Buses will not enter the Beachside ITF.
Route 1
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on Palmetto Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, and left on A1A to resume regular routing. They will not enter the Beachside ITF and will remain on A1A.
- Inbound: Buses will use the International Speedway Bridge to Palmetto Avenue.
Route 10S
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on U.S. 1, left on George Engram Boulevard, and resume regular routing.
- Inbound: From George Engram Boulevard, buses will turn right on U.S. 1 and left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard before returning to the Transfer Plaza.
- Buses will not serve the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market and will remain on U.S. 92 in both directions.
Route 11N
- Outbound: Buses will turn left on Palmetto Avenue, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on U.S. 1, right on Fairview Avenue, and left on Beach Street.
- Inbound: From Beach Street, buses will turn right on Fairview Avenue, left on U.S. 1, and left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard before returning to the Transfer Plaza.
Route 15
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Palmetto Avenue, left on Bay Street, and right on Beach Street to resume regular routing.
- Inbound: The reverse routing will apply.
Route 17
- Outbound: Buses will turn right on Palmetto Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, and right on A1A to resume regular routing.
- Inbound: From A1A, buses will turn left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Palmetto Avenue, and return to the Transfer Plaza.
