Ormond Beach, FL - An Ormond Beach man is facing some pretty disturbing charges after a tip alleged he was uploading child pornography and videos of him sexually abusing his wife’s dog.

All told, Brandon Shelton is now charged with 11 counts of possessing child pornography and six counts of sexual activity involving animals after the Volusia Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

On January 6, deputies executed a search warrant at Shelton’s home and seized a number of electronic devices, a gold watch, and two family dogs; who were subsequently turned over to Volusia County Animal Services.

During the investigation, detectives uncovered 11 electronic files of videos and photos that portrayed children between the ages of 2 and 9 in sexually exploitative situations. Shelton told investigators he had downloaded and forwarded suspected child pornography. Investigators do not believe the child pornography was made by Shelton.

Also uncovered were videos of a man in a gold watch sexually abusing a dog. Shelton admitted to detectives that the man with the gold watch was actually him.

Following his arrest, Shelton was booked into the Volusia County Jail on $116,000 bond. He has since bonded out of custody.
