Daytona Beach, FL - A woman is now facing a charge of first-degree premeditated murder after shooting and killing a 60-year-old Daytona Beach man.
Police say Takendra Dawkins is accused of killing Walter Lawrence in his Midtown home near Sunnyland Park. Dawkins was arrested over 48 hours after Lawrence was found shot in the head by police at his home.
A 911 call is what sent officers to Lawrence’s home on Washington Street early Monday morning (Feb. 7), leading to the discovery of his body in a back bedroom.
Dawkins remains in custody with no bond. She is set to go before a judge on Friday (Feb. 10).
