Volusia YMCA's Hosting Election Day Childcare

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - November 3rd is going to be a busy day for all involved, so if you need someone to watch your kids while you wait at the polls, the local YMCAs around Volusia County are here to help.

And, it's all free.

There are four YMCAs around the area that are participating. Registration can be handled online—you can click here to reserve a spot—or you can visit one of the participating locations. Those locations are in Ormond Beach, Port Orange, DeLand and Edgewater.

The reservations work in four hour blocks with times available both in the morning and afternoon. However, according to Katie Lyle, the COO of the Volusia & Flagler County YMCAs, says each branch might have different operating hours for childcare, so it's important that you check with your branch before registering for care.

And, since it is also a teacher duty day/student holiday in Volusia County, all-day childcare is also available—but requires registration and payment. For more information, visit the Volusia & Flagler County YMCA website.
