State Releases Apology Note From Juvenile Shooter To Deputies

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Nicole Jackson, the Volusia County teen accused of shooting at law enforcement, wrote an apology letter to the deputies she fired at, per an email from the State Attorney's Office.

The letter from Jackson was included with the state's discovery on the teen, who is scheduled to appear in court again in November. Jackson, along with another 12-year-old boy, are accused of shooting at Volusia County deputies after breaking into a Deltona home in June.

In that incident, both teens fired rounds at deputies for around half an hour. The shooting stopped after Jackson fired a shotgun at deputies, who fired back and struck her. She was then taken to the hospital for medical treatment before being brought to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

You can find a rough transcription of Jackson's note below.
